Lymph mainly contains white blood cells (mainly lymphocytes). Functions of lymph: It carries digested and absorbed fat from intestine and drains excess fluid from extracellular space back into blood. It supplies mature lymphocytes to the blood. It acts to remove bacteria and other particles.
