The genotype of the plant for heterozygous tall and violet flowers is TtPp. The cross between the plants is as follows:

Parents: TtPp             ×              TtPp
Gametes:  TP, Tp, tP, tp

So, 25% of the progeny heterozygous for the trait.

Now, out of 512 seeds, the number of seeds that are heterozygous for trait = 25% of 512 = 25/100  ×  512 = 128

Hence, 128 seeds would be heterozygous for the trait.
