• The phenomenon of the presence of more than one kind of leaves on the same plant is termed as hetrophylly. It is quite common in plants that remain partly submerged and parlty in the air.
• Heterophylly is also observed in certain land plants, for instance, Ficus, coriander, etc
• They can belong to any of the three categories stated below:

1. Habitual Heterophylly  
2. Environmental heterophylly
3. Developmental heterophylly
