Answer:

figure shows the ray diagram considering three rays it shows the image A'B'. of the object AB formed by a concave mirror. thus point A' image point of A if every ray originating at point A and falling on the concave mirror after reflection passes through the point A'.

A'B'F and MPF are similar.

therefore

A'B'/PM=B'F/FP. (PM=AB) ....................(1)

since < APB=A'PB'

therefore

B'A'/BA=B'P/BP. ........................(2)

comparising equation 1 &2

B'F/FP = B'P-FP/ FP= B'P/BP......................(3)

equation 3 is relation involving magnitude of distance. now we apply the sign conversion.

to reach the object AB and A'B' as well as the focus P from the pole P we have to travel the opposite to the direction of incident light.

thus B'P = -v

FP= -f

BP = -u

in equation 3 we get.

-v + f / -f = -v/-u

so 1/v + 1/ u = 1/ f

it is the mirror formula.........

and thanks mere dusre answers pr like ke liye....☺️☺️☺️☺️
