Hey u should not be confused....
Alliteration -- repetition of consonant sounds in a para eg.. I hate sun shine (s and s)
Simile-- when there is comparison using words ""as or like"" . eg,,, as dark as night
metaphor -- when comparison is made without using words ""as or like "" eg.. world is a stage.
