Method-1
Given,
A= (2/5) B => A/B = 2/5
B/C = 4/3

we have A= 2 , B= 5
A:B = 2:5 -------(1)
also B= 4 and C = 3 ------(2)

Try to equate B in both of the equations to take the form of A:B: C

from (2)
B= 4 C= 3
B= 5 C= ?

Use Cross multiplication
C= (3*5)/4
C= 15/4
C= 3.75

Take B and C as a proportion.
B:C= 5:3.75 --------(3)

A:B:C= 2: 5: 3.75
multiply by a no. to convert into integer
Here multiplying ,4 does the same

A:B:C= 8:20:25
sum of the ratio = 43

{ A:B= 2:5 & B:C= 4:3 .This is also nothing but the given data}

Divide 1290 by 43
1290/43= 30
Mul. 30 by respective ratio value to get answer

A= 30*8 = 240
B= 30*20= 600
C= 30* 15= 450

Method-2

1290 has to be divided b/w A, B and C
A+B+C=1290 --------(1)

A=2B/5 --------(2)
B/C=4/3 =>C=3B/4 ---------(3)
sub in (1)

2B/5+B+3B/4=1290
8B+20B+15B=25800
43B= 25800
B=600

A=240 [from(2)]
C=450 [from(3)]

Hope it helps
