Step-by-step explanation:

Given:a^x = b^y = c^z

Let:a^x = b^y = c^z = k

(i)

a^x=k =>a=k^{\frac{1}{x} }

(ii)

b^y=k =>b=k^{\frac{1}{y} }

(iii)

c^z=k=>k=c^{\frac{1}{z} }

Now,

b^2=ac

=>(k^{\frac{1}{y}})^2 = k^{\frac{1}{x}} * k^{\frac{1}{z} }

=>k^{\frac{2}{y}} = k^{\frac{1}{x} + \frac{1}{z}}

=>\frac{2}{y}=\frac{1}{x} + \frac{1}{z}

=>\frac{2}{y}=\frac{x + z}{xz}

=>\boxed{y = \frac{2zx}{x + z}}

Hope it helps!
