the distance of the star from the planet in km?​​​​​

(a) light travels at 1 lightyear per year so it will be visible after 100 years.

(b) 1 min= 60sec

12min=12 x 60 = 720s

time (t) = 720s

speed(v) = 3,00,000 kmph

distance(s)= speed(v) x time(t)

=3,00,000 x 720

= 216000000 km.
