Helen had written a book called  "autumn leaves". When she read this out to her friends and amily,they asked her if she wrote it be herself. This took her by shock,as she had never imagined that it wasnt her own as it came so naturally to her. She was suggested to change the title into " The Frost King. "

She copied the story and sent it to her dear friend, Mr.Anagnos for his birthday, who was greatly impressed by the story. Mr.Anagnos then published the story in one of the Perkins institution report. Then , Helen was accused of copying the story from Miss Margaret t. canby's "the frost fairies."

Everybody looked at her with suspicion,except her dear friends. Anagnos believed her for a while and then switched sides. this made her all the more sad. Apparently Mrs Hopkins had read many books to Helen when Miss Sullivan was on vacation and the frost fairies was probably one of them.
