now,

area of rectangle = l x b

" = 15 x 10 cm2

" = 150 cm2

again,

area of square = a2

" = 5 x 5 cm2

" = 25 cm2

then the area of two square = area of one square x 2

" = 25 x 2 cm2

" = 50 cm2

now,

area of shaded part = area of rectangle - area of two square

" = 150 - 50 cm2

" = 100 cm2

hence the area of shaded part is 100 cm2
