let the angles be x and 90-x

2x = 3 ( 90-x )

2x= 270-3x

270 = 2x +3x

270= 5 x

270/5 = x

54= x

so the angles are 54 and 36

Answer:

C ; 36°

Step-by-step explanation:

First , the question arises that what are complementary angles??.

The angles whose sum is 90° are called complementary angles....

So, here

Let 1st angle = x°

Let 2nd angle = 3x° (GIVEN)

So, ATQ:-

1st angle = 2x°

2x + 3x = 90°

5x = 90°

x = 90/5

x = 18°

So, 1st angle = 2x

2nd angle = 3x

Hence, 1st angle = 2(18) = 36°

So, the value of smaller angle is 36°

______________________

CHECK:-

1st angle = 36°

2nd angle = 3(18) = 54°

Sum = 90°

36 + 54 = 90°

90° = 90°

So, the smaller anally angle is 36°.
