Is God's existence of any importance?

God’s existence is important presuming God exists and has interesting traits such as:

having created the universe on purpose

or having manipulated life in the universe to increase the chances of intelligence

or somehow actually keeping us from harm

or (for some reason I can't possibly fathom) standing in judgement over us and condemning us to eternal pain or eternal boredom or to reincarnation as a creatures with better or worse status based on our beliefs or behaviors.

Trivial variations of God's existence (abstract “love” or a “prime mover” with no other defined attributes) are often too meaningless to be even remotely important, except to those who have an emotional attachment to the word “God” or, such as with deism or pantheism, to the idea of trivially humanizing the universe.

God’s apparent actual lack of existence (except possibly in trivial and uninteresting forms) is only important to people who insist that He does exist and does have interesting characteristics. And that lack of existence is only important to them because they are wrong.

If humans had never invented gods to make up for our collective ignorance, the idea would have no remaining importance whatsoever.
