Hey friends, a mate asked me a question and I am unable to get the correct answer.....

Please help me, here's the question..

For what value of k, the pair of equations kx+2y=5
3x-4y=10
has no solution.

for this a1=b1=c1=1
a2 b2 c2 2

this is possible when k is 1.5

i think k=3/2 when sign of 2y is - and not + .please let me know that this equations are correct?
