Hola there,

X –› FeSO4

Y –› Fe2SO3

Reaction=>

FeSO4 –› Fe2SO3 + SO2 + SO3

Iron Sulphate(pale green) in the presence of heat gives ferric oxide(brown), sodium dioxide and sodium trioxide.

here the substance x => FeSo4

COLOURED brown residue => FeO

gas evolved => SO2 and 02 .
