Answer :
The given polynomial is
(x^5 - 4a²x³ + 2x + 2a + 3).
Since, (x + 2a) is a factor of the above polynomial, x = - 2a will satisfy the polynomial valuing 0.
So, (-2a)^5 - 4a²(-2a)³ + 2(- 2a) + 2a + 3 = 0
⇒ - 32a^5 - 4a²(- 8a³) - 4a + 2a + 3 = 0
⇒ - 32a^5 + 32a^5 - 2a + 3 = 0
⇒ 2a = 3
⇒ a = 3/2
∴ a = 3/2
