it is due to difference in speed of light and sound in the air.here u go
speed of light in air:3×10 raise to power8
speed of sound in air:330m/s
speed of light is faster than sound thats why we hear thunder a lil later

Hello Mate!
Q. Why lightning's lights see first and sound come after?
Ans. During lighting, light is experienced faster than sound because speed of light is much larger than that of sound.
Compassion : Speed of light is 3 × 10^8 m/s or 300000000 m/s while speed of sound is just 343 m/s in air.
Reason : This is because light can travel through vacuum while sound not. Speed of sound and light is affected due to air particles. But since speed of light is naturally much more than sound so the affect in speed of light doesn't matters.
Q. When lightning fall on any area what's happen?
Ans. Light contain heat energy which when fell on ground then can burn near by areas. Some times havy lighting is also responsible for minor earthquakes.
In the eyes of chemistry, lightning is essentially for atmospheric nitrogen fixation where nitrogen get converted into oxide of nitrogen in air which then mixed with water droplets and then come onto the soil where they react to for alkalis. This forms nitrate and ammonia which is used by plants and animals.
Thanks!!!
Have great future ahead!
