Hey ya.. Here's your answer..
Arithmetic progression is the progression in which U'll obtain the succeeding term with the help of common difference and the first term...
Common difference is obtained by the difference of succeeding term and preceding term...
First term in AP is normally denoted as 'a'..
Common difference is denoted by 'd'.
The short cut for finding AP is addition and subtraction...
Hope it helps you...

❀ HERE IS YOUR ANSWER ❀

______________________________

• An arithmetic progression is given by a, (a + d), (a + 2d), (a + 3d), ...
where a = the first term , d = the common difference.

• If a1, a2,a3,a4,a5 are the terms in AP then
D=a2 -a1 =a3 - a2 =a4 – a3=a5 –a4.

• nth term of an arithmetic progression

an = a + (n – 1)d

where an = nth term
a= the first term
d= common difference

• Sum upto nth term of an AP

Sn = n/2 [ 2a + (n-1)d ]

Sn = a + an/ 2

• Arithmetic Mean

If x, y & z are in AP, then y is the arithmetic mean of x & z.

It is given by:
y = x + z/2
