Resistivity is the resistance of that wire whose length and cross-section area both are unit.

"Or"

It is the resistance of that wire whose volume is unit.

Its SI unit is "Ohm metre".

It is represented by the Greek Letter Rho.

Dependence of Resistivity :-

° Nature of the wire.
° Temperature of the surrounding

Resistivity does not depends on :-

• Length of the wire
• Cross-sectional area of the wire.

Hope it helps..
