Dear diary,
Durga Puja for me is spent mainly going from Pandal to Pandal, seeing the brilliant artwork on display in crafting the idols and decorating the Pandal, and gorging myself on the food from various parts of Kolkata. Another bonus is the cultural programmes many puja committees have, usually by big name performers along with local talent.
This is one time of the year things remain open till late into the night, and there is a carnival atmosphere in the city. Don't be afraid of the crowds...be part of them!
