presently there are 14 export promotion councils under the control of Administrative Council are registered as non profit organisations under the companies or societies Registration Act the councils perform both advisory and executive functions the role of function of these councils are guided by the foreign trade policy 2009 214 these Council sir also the registering authority for exporters under the foreign trade policy 2009 -14.
