Find the percentage change in the are of triangle if each sire is halved.
Please help me solving this question..​

75% Decrease

Area of triangle = A = square root of

[s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) where 2s = a+b+c

Each side is halved ,

s' =s/2

(s'-a') = (s-a)/2

(s'-b') = (s-b)/2

(s'-c') = (s-c)/2

New area A' = square root of [s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)] /16

=A/4

Change in area =3/4A = 75 % decrease
