Here's ur answer!!
We know that electric current is set up due to flow of free electrons through a conductor.
When Potential Difference ( V ) is maintained across the ends of a given conductor, electrons drift from lower potential side to to higher potential side of the conductor.
During their drift, the electrons frequently collide with atoms and ions present in the conductor.Due to these collisions, some opposition or obstruction is there for flow of electrons and it causes resistance for flow of current.
⏩ So,I think this can be the answer to ur question!!
Hope it helps u!!
