Given :-

a = 3 - 22

So , 1/a = 1/(3 - 22)

=> 1 x (3 + 22) / (3 - 22)(3 + 22)

=> (3 + 22) / (3)² - (22)²

[ By identity :- (a + b)(a - b) = - ]

=> (3 + 22) / (9 - 8)

=> 3 + 22 / 1

=> 3 + 22

Now , let's subtitute the values of "a" and 1/a in ( - 1/)

Substituting:-

(3 - 22)² - (3 + 22)²

=> (3)² + (22)² - 2 x 22 x 3 - { (3)² + (22)² + 2 x 3 x 22 }

[ By the identities :- (a + b)² = ( + + 2ab ) and

(a - b)² = ( + - 2ab ) ]

=> 9 + 8 - 122 - { 9 + 8 +122 }

=> 17 - 122 - 17 - 122

=> -122 - 122

=> -2(12 + 12)

=> -2(24)

=> -242

Solved.

Hope it helped you...
