Heya!!

Huygen's principle deals about wave nature of light. As today we know light has dual nature of particle nd wave both.

According to him every point on a wave-front considered a source of secondary spherical wavelets which spread out in the forward direction at the speed of light (c) exactly equal to 299,792,458 m/s.

The new wavefront is at tangent.

Primary wavelets nd secondary wavelets are two different things.

This was one of the best contribution in physics by Huygen that gives rise to new concept in modern physics.

Hope it helps uh!

 \bf{huygen \: principle}

▶Huygen's principle is essentially geometrical construction which gives the shape of the wave front at anytime..

▶ it allows us to determine the shape of the wavefront at a later time.

According to Huygen's principle

⭐ every point on wavefront behave like a light source and emits secondary wavelets . secondary wavelets spread in all direction in shape with velocity of light.

⭐ the envelope of wavefront of secondary wavelets after a given time along forward direction gives the new position of a front
