  1. This is because while cooking food, the properties of the ingredients and substances gets altered which makes it impossible to recover the original substance back. Therefore, due to this reason it is regarded as a kind of irreversible change.

Chemical changes cause a substance to change into an entirely substance with a new chemical formula. Chemical changes are also known as chemical reactions.
