hey guys
I will mark as BRAINLIEST
an element A which is a part of common salt and kept under kerosene reacts with another element B of atomic number 17 to give a product C.
when an aqueous solution of product C is electrolyzed then a compound D is formed and two gases are liberated.
so
a)what are A and B?
b)identify C and D?
c)what will be the action of C on litmus solution?why?
d)state whether element B is a solid, liquid or gas at room temperature.
e)write the formula of the compound formed when element B reacts with an element E having atomic number 5.

see A is Na ie sodium
B is Cl chlorine
A+B = C
so Na + Cl2 = NaCl
C is common salt ie NaCl
Now when we electrolyze the aquaous solution of NaCl which is also known as brine solution we get two gases ie H2 gas and chlorine gas at cathode and anode respectively
and a compound D which is sodium hydroxide (NaOH).
So D is NaOH

Now let me write it properly
a) A is sodium (Na) and B is Chlorine (Cl)
b) C is NaCl ie common salt and D is (NaOH) sodium hydroxide
c) The action of C on lithmus solutions will be neutral ie NaCl with red lithmus will remain red and with blue lithmus will remain blue cause NaCl is neutral....
d) element B ie Cl chlorine at room temp is in gaseous state
e) Element E is Boron so

2B + 3Cl2 = 2BCl3
it forms Boron trichloride and this reaction is very vigorous....
