If two atoms (one more electronegative and one less electronegative) make a bond between themselves and become a molecule then it is called polar molecule

Due to molecule formation electronegative atom(that has a tendency to attract negative charge)will attract the shared pair of electrons and it will get a negative charge and the less electronegative will get a positive charge

This is called polar because of opposite charges at opposite poles

Example:In HF(hydrogen fluoride) F is more electronegative and H is less electronegative therefore F will gain partial negative and H will gain partial positive charge and hence it is a polar molecule

Note:-it is not a ionic Bond as in ionic Bond there are permanent + and - charge but in this only partial charge

And a molecule which is not polar is a non-polar

Hope it helps you
