The major difference is that the elements in Mendeleev's periodic table were arranged by atomic mass and the modern periodic tablearranges elements by atomic number. Of course as elements are constantly being discovered there were significantly fewer elements in Mendeleev's periodic table.

in mendeleev's periodic table,
1 position of hydrogen not satisfied
2 position of isotopes
3 some gaps were left

modern periodic table
1 position of hydrogen given particular
2 position of isotopes satisfied
