we know that relative error in a quantity A raised to power n is n times the relative error in A.

let us calculate relative error in each quantity :

the relative error in a³ = 3 × (Δa/a) = 3 × 1% = 3%

the relative error in √b = 1/2 × (Δb/b) = 1/2 × 2% = 1%

the relative error in √c³ = 3/2 × (Δc/c) = 3/2 × 4% = 6%

the relative error in d² = 2 × (Δd/d) = 2 × 2% = 4%

the total % error in P = 3 × (Δa/a) + 1/2 × (Δb/b) + 3/2 × (Δc/c) + 2 × (Δd/d)

⇒ The total % error in P = 3% + 1% + 6% + 4%

⇒ The total % error in P = 14%
