Hey friend, Harish here.

Here is your answer.

2.

We know that mass = density × volume

Let density of the cone be ρ . Then,

 \mathrm{m_{conc}= \rho \times \frac{1}{3} \pi \ \big(2R\big)^3 \times 4R =  \frac{16}{3}\pi(R)^3 \rho }

The centre of mass will be at a height of O which equals to h/4 = R .

 \mathrm{ m_{(sphere)} = (12\rho) \times \frac{4}{3} \pi \ \big(R\big)^3 =  {16}\pi(R)^3 \rho }} = \mathrm{ 3 \times m_{(conc)} }

This centre of mass is at a distance of => 4R + R = 5R .

Then, Centre of mass of whole system is ;

 \mathrm{C.O.M = \frac{mR+3m(5R)}{m+3m}=\frac{16mR}{4m}= 4R}

Therefore the C.O.M is at as distance of 4R from O.
