Brain is the master of central nervous system of every vertebrates and most of the invertebrates. The brain consist of three major parts i) cerebrum, ii) cerebellum and iii) brain stem.

Explanation:

  • i) Cerebrum is the largest part of the brain further divides in to left and right cerebral hemispheres. Each hemisphere consists of four lobes such as frontal, parietal, temporal and occipital. It controls all the senses, thinking, communication, memory, personality etc.,
  • ii) Cerebellum located in the back and bottom of the brain controls muscle balance, posture etc.,
  • iii) Brain stem which consists of medulla oblongata located at the posterior part of the brain which controls functions like breathing, consciousness, swallowing etc.,
