Then clearly above two and lower two resistances are separately in parallel combination..

So firstly solve them separately and then add them in series combination.

R = 1/4 + 1/8 = 3/8

R' = 1/4+1/2 = 3/4

R" = 8/3 + 4/3= 12/3 = 4 ohm
