hey ! here is a riddle for u boys and girls. I had 100 rupees . first I spent 40 then 30 then 18 and then finally 12 . 40+30+18+12=100. now leftover money after every spent - 60+30+12+00=102. how is that possible despite the fact that I had only 100 and spent 100 only?

Well it’s confusing only. The trick is simple as such. You are actually adding that money which is left after every purchase. So actually you haven’t spend extra 2 rupee.

Your question is how did u spent 2 rupees more whereas you are totalling the amount left!! If you are asking how much money spent? than do the total of money spent not the money left…

Both the answers that is given is correct... It's nothing but like a confusing detail... But it's totally correct..it's a tricky question.. Let's see...

We have 100rs in hand

We spent 40rs and saved 60rs,

Then we spent 30 rs and saved 30rs

Then we spent 18rs and saved 12rs, and then we spent the 12rs also... Now we have no money left.. If we calculate the expenditure. Then total amount will be rs 40+30+18+12=100, but if we calculate the savings then total would be 60+18+12=102rs..and yeah it's correct.. Because here we don't have to count the saving.. We have to count the expenditure.. It is a tricky question.. If we will count the saving then its obvious that it will come more...
