Mechanical handling units:

Mechanical Handling Units are the MHU that are used in some factories. These units are associated with the unloading of cargo's, transportation of the same to the storage spaces or godowns, loading the same, as well as unloading the same during the dispatch and loading them in transportation equipment.

Mechanical Handling Units generally have a few types of divisions –

• Transportation Equipment – This unit transports the large heavy cargo's from places to places within the factory.

• Positioning equipment – They decide the places of the cargo's where they should be stored.

• Unit load formation equipment – This loads the cargo's on the transportation units.

• Storage equipment – They store the cargo's for further dispatch.
