Explain about the different types of farming.
ANSWER -
there are two types of farming :-
1) subsistence :-
• it is a type of farming in which a farmer and his family grow crops for self sustenance.
• it includes Nomadic herding and shifting agriculture.
• in Nomadic herding people migrate along with their animals from one place to another in search of fodder for their animals.
• in shifting agriculture that's why loses its fertility the land is abandoned and the cultivators moves to a new plot.
2) commercial :-
• it is a type of Agricultural crops are raised on a large scale for the purpose of selling the product in the market.
• it includes extensive, intensive and plantation agriculture.
• in extensive, agriculture is done on a large scale on big land Holdings by using modern machines.
• intensive agriculture is done on a small scale on little land Holdings by using traditional machine or tools.
• in plantation agriculture crops are grown for sale in distant markets rather than local consumption.
