Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Step-by-step explanation:

(a)

Range of sin x = [-1,1]

And also, we know the fact,

Domain of inverse function = Range of the function.

So, domain of sin⁻¹(x) : [-1, 1]  or  -1 ≤ x ≤ 1

Then,

Range of sin¹ₓ = [-π/2, π/2]

Therefore,

Domain of sin⁻¹x= [-1 , 1]

Range of sin⁻¹x = [-π/2, π/2]

(b)

Range of cos x = [-1,1]

And also, we know the fact,

Domain of inverse function = Range of the function.

So, domain of cos⁻¹(x) : [-1, 1] .

Then,

Range of cos¹ₓ = [0,π]

Therefore,

Domain of cos⁻¹x= [-1 , 1]

Range of cos⁻¹x = [0,π]
