hey i'm new i hope you me i have thanked i have to do this exercise but i don't understand who could help me please

A grain silo in the shape of a cone of revolution surmounted by a
cylinder of the same axis. A, I, O and S are points on this axis.
We give: SA = 1.60 m, AI = 2.40 m and AB = 1.20 m.
1st part: We consider figure 1 opposite.

1) a) calculate the volume of the cone
b) calculate the cylinder volume
c) deducted in the total capacity of the silo rounded to the nearest liter

ANSWER

The volume of the grain silo can be found by adding the volumes of all the solids of which it is composed.

The silo is made up of a cylinder with height 10 feet and base radius 5 feet and two cones, each having height 5 feet and base radius 5 feet.

The formulas volume of cylinder πr2h and volume of cone 31πr2h can be used to determine the total volume of the silo.

Since the two cones have identical dimensions, the total volume, in cubic feet, of the silo is given by:

V=π(5)2(10)+(2)(31)π(5)2(5)

=(34)(250)π

=1047.2 cubic feet.(approx)
