But about English... I'm in grade 9 too. Tips my teachers have given me for next year board are pretty simple and easy to follow. Hope they help!
1. Capitalize when needed.
2.Use the correct punctuation.
3. Check spelling.
4. Neat presentation. (If you write neatly, people are compelled to give u a high score.)
5. Study grammar properly.
6. Clarify doubts regularly.
7. Read books.
8. Improve vocab.
9. Take prep test on sites like KhanAcademy.
