Hello Divya.
Thanks for asking this question.
Your answer is =>
whenever the electric current passing through a coil or circuit CHANGES , the magnetic flux related to it also changes.
This results in according to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction , that ,
whenever there is a change in the magnetic flux , an emf is induced in the coil.
this phenomenon is called SELF INDUCTION.
in short =>
when an electric current passing through the coil is changed , an emf is induced in it.
this is called as self induction.
number of magnetic flux related to current varying coil is directly proportional to the current in it.
so , we can say that ,
where ,
L = coefficient of Self induction
N = number of turns of wire on coil
= magnetic flux.
i = electric current through coil.
from this equation , we can define the coefficient of Self induction as =>
coefficient of Self induction is the end induced in the coil when the rate of change of current in the coil is UNITY.

Self Inductane⇒ It occurs in Inductors. Actually, Inductor stores magnetic effect. In any wire, If electric current pass then it generate a magnetic field around the wire.
In other words, we can say that Self Inductane of wire can be defined as the property of wire that disagree with the changing of current that is flowing through it.
Coefficient of Self Inductane
It is used as Formula for Inductane. It is the ratio of Electromotive force.
Its Formula,
L = u N² A/l
Where L is the Coefficient of Self Inductane.
