Let the age of Avni be x and Ayan be y..

Given:-

x + y = 32 .........(1)

y = 2 + x............ (2)

put the equation (2) in the equation (1)...

x + (2 + x) = 32

2x + 2 = 32

2x = 32 - 2

x = $\dfrac{30}{2}$

x = 15

put the value of x in equation (2)..

y = 2 + x

y = 2 + 15

y = 17

So, the age of Avni is 15 years and Ayan is 17 years
