COMET :- It is also known as Dirty Snowball. It looks like a bright star. It is a piece of ice, dust, rocks, gases etc.

It has a tail near the sun. They don't fall. They revolve around the sun like a planet. It's revolution around the sun is very large.

They have two tails namely - Dust tail and Ion tail. It found in Kriper Belt and Oort cloud.

It's two types are - Short period comets and Long period comets. Short period comets originate from the Oort Cloud and the Long period comets originate from the Kriper Belt. It'sn types are - nucleus, coma and tail.

It's size depends upon how close is it to the sun. Their nucleus are so small. So, they are quite difficult to study.

Comets formed further from the sun where ice would not melt.
