Paleolithic:- It is the earliest Stone age period dating 2.6 million years ago. The age is distinguished by most primitive stone tools. Humans during the era grouped together in small “bands” and were involved in gathering plants, fishing and hunting. The age can be divided into lower Paleolithic, middle Paleolithic and upper Paleolithic. During the end of the age, people developed spiritual and religious beliefs as depicted in some of the excavations.

Mesolithic:- It is the second period of stone age between Paleolithic and Neolithic. The start and end of the age vary by geographical region. It is a transition period from hunting and gathering as in Paleolithic to domestication as in Neolithic. The tools used were mode V chipped stone tools (microliths).

Neolithic:- It is the 3rd period of stone age and is often referred to as “New stone age”.  Its time period is considered to be around 10,200 BC to 4,500BC , which ended with  the beginning of “Bronze Age”. Only one human race (“homosapiens”) was found during this period. People lived in small tribes and were involved in domestication of animals. There is evidence of people living in permanent houses. There is also evidence of crop farming and cultivation during the period.

hope it helps !!

here is your answer OK dude

These three periods overlap with each other in every location to differing extents, but on a very simplified level, the differences are (according to my shoddy memory of book passages and The Mighty Internet):

PALEOLOTHIC:

Small tribes of hunter-gatherer groups living a nomadic lifestyle, and using blades made of stone they would flake off of cores of rock.

1 The people of this age were mainly hunting and food gathering people.
They used unpolished, undressed rough stone tools and lived in cave and rock shelters
.
2 They mainly used hand axes, cleavers, choppers, blades, scrapers and burin. Their tools were made of a hard rock called ‘quartzite’. Hence, the men of this age are also called ‘Quartzite men’.

MESOLITHIC:

The beginnings of sedentism, as small tribes moved between summer and winter camps, if they moved at all; some had just one because their climate was mild enough that food was plentiful all year. Still hunter-gatherers, though with blades they'd flake off a core and then chip a sharp edge to. Between this epoch and the last, dogs and bows and arrows came about.

1 Coming to the Mesolithic era (8000 B.C. - 6000 B.C.) which happens to be the time between Palaeolithic and Neolithic times.

2 This time period happens to be described by mainly climate change. Climate became more warm and dry which made changes in flora and fauna. This made humans to move to new areas. Since then there hasn’t been any major climate change.

3 The characteristic tools of Mesolithic age are known as ‘microliths’- pointed, crossing blades, scrapers etc. , all made of stone.
The people lived on hunting, food gathering and fishing. They also started domesticating animals later

NEOLITHIC:

The beginnings of true agriculture, pottery, cities, and herding, and the use of polished stone axes. Larger groups living together; in Jericho, possibly up to 3,000! Hunter-gatherers slowly swallowed by settled populations, either by intermarriage or violence.

1 During this time period, the people used stones other than quartzite for making tools, which were more lethal, more polished, sharp and finished.

2 Cultivation of land began in neolithic era and men started domesticating cattle, sheep and goat.

3 They lived in caves, knew fire and pottery, designed the walls of their caves with hunting and dancing scenes. They also knew how to make boats. They could weave cotton and woolen clothes.

5In the later phase, people led a more settled life and lived in circular and rectangular house made of mud and reed.
