The Executive consists of the President of India, who signature ultimately converts the Bill into a law, then the Prime Minister of India, who is the Head of the Government, and his council of ministers who propose laws and present bills to the Parliament or the Legislature.

"chief minister"

The governor appoints the chief minister of a state. He or she also appoints the Advocate General and the chairman and members of the State Public Service Commission. Apart from this, State Election Commissioner are also appointed by the Governor (though removed by the President).

The president is indirectly elected by an electoral college comprising the Parliament of India (both houses) and the legislative assemblies of each of India's states and territories, who themselves are all directly elected.

Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district (constituency) to the legislature of the State government in the Indian system of government. Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) are elected by the people.

"ministers"
Ministers, headed by the prime minister.

"prime minister "
The party holding a majority in the Lok Sabha elects its leader Prime Minister.
