Metamerism :
In animals like annelids, arthropods, etc. the body is externally and internally divided into segments. Similarly, the body of earthworm is also divided into segments in the same manner. The pattern of segmentation that the body of earthworm shows is called metameric segmentation.

fragmentation means the segments of a body but in case of metameric fragmentation it reflects the segments that we can observe in earthworms as we can observe segments of body in arthropods,e.g, crabs,etc...
