❀ HERE IS YOUR ANSWER ❀

The periodic table is a chart of elements prepared in such a way that the elements having similar properties occur in the same vertical column or group. A periodic table consists of horizontal rows of elements called periods and vertical columns called groups.

The modern periodic table was prepared by Bohr. The arrangement if elements in the modern periodic table is based on their electronic configurations.

There are seven periods in the long form or modern periodic table. The elements in a period have consecutive atomic numbers.

There are 18 groups in the long form of periodic table. The elements in a group don't have consecutive atomic numbers. But all the elements in a group have similar electronic configuration and show similar properties.

The real significance of the modern periodic classification based on atomic numbers is that it relates the periodicity in the properties of elements to the periodicity in their electronic configurations.

Answer:-

The modern periodic table is a device scientists use to organize the elements with respect to the atomic numbers of the elements rather than the mass. The atomic number also relates to the orbital arrangement of the electrons of the elements.
