Hey people...I have a doubt....
Why do metals replace hydrogen from acid ,but non-metals do not ,why?explain.

Non metals have tendency to gain electrons, whereas metals have tendency to lose electrons easily. The electrons donated by Metals are easily accepted by ydrogen, wwhich is then converted to H2 gas. Thus displacing hydrogen from dilute acids

Because metal are positive charged and they can give electrons to hydrogen to stable but the non metals are negative charged they cannot give electrons to hydrogen to form bond.
