100m race
I.e a=100m b=90m
B beats c by 10m
I.e b=100m c=90m
Now when b was= 90m, c was=?
But wen b was=100m, c was=90
90*90/100 =81 (cross multiply)
So when A was 100m , b was 90m, c was 81m
Therfore. Distance between a and c is 100-81=19m

UnknownDude: That's absolutely correct

Hi there!
Here's the answer:

•°•°•°•°•°<><><<><>><><>°•°•°•°•°
While A runs 100 m,
B runs 100 - 10 = 90 m

While B runs 100 m,
C runs 100 - 10 = 90 m

=> While B runs 90 m,
C run 90/100×90 = 81 mts

i. e., while A run 100 m,
B run 90 m and C run 81 m

Hence A beat C by (100-81) = 19 mts
