Hey please help me out here, can somebody help e solve this: A block of mass 1.5kg place on a rough horizontal surface is pulled by a constant horizontal force of 1.2kgf. The coefficient of friction between the block and the surface is 0.3. Find the acceleratiion produced in terms of g.
The answer given : g/2.

force of friction = Fr = (weight of object)×(coefficient of friction) = 1.5g × 0.3 = 0.45g N
force applied on the block is 1.2g N
(force applied on block) - (force of friction) = (mass of object) × (acceleration of object)
1.2g - 0.45g = 1.5 × a
0.75g = 1.5 × a
a = 0.75g/1.5 = 75g/150 = g/2 m/s^2
I hope this would help you. Please mark this as brainiest.
