SUPERSTITION IN MODERN SOCIETY
It is true that science has made great advancement but still it is unable to explain mysteries of the world. And the superstition finds its way where the mystery prevails, there are numerous examples of superstitions in our society.
Belief in Ghosts is traditional and so is the faith in astrology and palmistry. Some ridiculous superstitions are Sneezing of a man before starting any work , crying of cat and crow , the entry of cat in our way etc.
The so called Civilized and and allied person also have some superstitions.
But the evil effect of superstition mostly affect the illiterate people. The superstition Belief in the magical power to cure disease often take a heavy toll of human life.
The system of 'SATI' was a cruel superstition and only white and colourless cloths for those women whose husband have expired.
A definite cure for superposition and that is education. We must do our best to remove all superstitions and ensure real progress of nation. We should accept that scientific spirit must go deep within our social system and change our attitude from within.
