componds who have equally distributed between two atoms when there is sharing of electrons
pythonhmukherjeelinu:
Rather more simply ,H2, Cl2 ,O2 ,etc , all these divalent molecules are nonpolar . Because as they are covalent compounds , and both the atoms are of same type , so the electrons that they will share will remain at equal distance from either of the two atoms . Both the atoms will try to draw the electron toward themselves by an equal force , hence none of the atoms will get any polarity , resulting the formation of nonpolar molecule !

In chemistry, polarity is a separation of electric charge leading to a molecule or its chemical groups having an electric dipolemoment, with a negatively charged end and a positively charged end.
Polar molecules must contain polar bondsdue to a difference in electronegativitybetween the bonded atoms. A polar molecule with two or more polar bonds must have a geometry which is asymmetric in at least one direction, so that the bond dipoles do not cancel each other.
Polar molecules interact through dipole–dipole intermolecular forces and hydrogen bonds. Polarity underlies a number of physical properties including surface tension, solubility, and melting and boiling points.
